Houston Business Journal's FAST 100 Growing Companies

Wells Manufacturing has been named #10
on the 2007 Houston Business Journal's
 Houston Fast 100 List

HOUSTON - Wells Manufacturing LLC (WM) selected as one of this year's Houston Fast 100 winners. "The company has come a long way since we first opened our doors back in September 2002. Our first full year in business brought in $167K in total sales. In year four total sales came in at $830K, representing a 397% growth rate since year one," said Patsy Wells, president and owner of Wells Manufacturing LLC.

"We attribute our success to our loyal customers and to dedicated staff. Our customers recognize and appreciate that our employees are willing to go the extra mile to meet the customers' schedule."

Founded in mid 2002, Wells Manufacturing, an independent Houston-based manufacturing facility offering precision production machining - is equipped with CNC machines, CAD/CAM software, and a staff of experienced professional machinists. WM accepts small orders but specializes in streamlining mass production for clients in several industries, fulfilling specific precision machining needs. WM is led by a team of experienced professionals with diverse backgrounds - manufacturing, engineering, operations, finance, marketing, sales - who are dedicated to ensuring the utmost in exceptional professional service and superior quality products.

Wells Manufacturing, formerly Lesco Machine (est. 1986), retained 90% of its original clients when Patsy and John Wells took ownership in 2002. Mrs. Wells has since led WM and continues to build the business through referrals. James Wells, VP and TAMU industrial engineer, oversees daily operations to ensure growing profitability by optimizing production processes and proactively developing new services. WM was nominated for the 2006 WBEA Supplier of the Year Award by Exxon-Mobil.

WM's biggest challenge this past year was expansion on a limited budget to keep up with growing demand. The growing work orders required new machines to stay efficient, as well as additional facility space to house these new machines. Thus, the challenge was allocating our limited funds for the most ROI.
