Houston Fast 100 Awards
Houston, September 26, 2008 - Houston's 100 fastest-growing companies and 2008 Power Ten were honored at the Houston Fast 100 luncheon presented by the Houston Business Journal and held at the Westin Galleria.
Wells Manufacturing LLC was ranked as No. 5 on the Power of Ten list which included SMBology and On-Target Marketing, No. 1 on the Houston Fast 100 last year. In addition Wells was a finalist for the Enterprising Champion honor.
Over 700 Houstonians from the business community cheered on the 2008 Fast 100 award recipients at the luncheon where the rankings were first made public. Companies making the list were ranked by percentage of revenue growth over the past two years.
"Wells Manufacturing is thrilled at receiving recognition for this honor two years in a row as last year the company was No. 10 on the Houston Fast 100 List. Also the additional honor of being recognized as an Enterprising Champion Finalist is encouragement to our people and they should recognize that they are doing a lot of things right. It is so important that owners, management and staff all share in this recognition because we couldn't have done it without each other" said Patsy Wells, CEO of the six year old company.
In addition to the list of Houston's 100 fastest-growing companies published in the special Houston Fast 100 section - available exclusively in the Houston Business Journal's September 26, 2008, issue - top executives of some of the honored businesses shared their insights on what to do and what not to do to succeed.
The Houston Fast 100 event, hosted by the Houston Business Journal, was presented by Whitney Bank. Co-sponsors of the event were G&A Partners, HUB International, NWN Corporation, Pierpont Communications, Reliant Energy and Verizon Wireless.
