Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer

Wells Manufacturing is seeking a highly motivated and quality minded individual with broad manufacturing capabilities. This position requires a self-starter with strong problem solving skills who can read and interpret blue prints and oversee a wide variety of turning and milling operations. This position requires strong experience and confidence in the programming, setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills. Must be able to plan the entire machining process, work with operators to resolve machining issues, develop programs which can be run with minimal operator intervention, improve existing programs for increased throughput and machine utilization. 

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-10 years experience

  • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Must be very detailed and double check work to ensure correct dimensions have been programmed.

  • Must be progressive and keep up with newest technologies, tooling and etc which allow the best machining performance possible

  • Proven CAD/CAM and G-Code programming experience

  • GibbsCam experience, lathe, mill, rotary milling, 3-D milling

  • Experience with macros a plus

  • Experience on Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls a plus

  • Must be able to solve problems with tooling and machine setups

  • Adjust machining parameters as needed to achieve highest throughput possible.

Wells Manufacturing is currently in need of CNC lathe operators.
 

Lathe operators must be able 

  • Read blue prints.

  • Select turning tools specified by program.

  • Load and set tools in machine.

  • Proof out first piece for first article inspection.

  • Use OD/ID mics, bore gages, height gage, calipers and etc to monitor conformity of parts during machining.

  • Maximize machine utilization and part quality ensuring production goals are met.

  • Follow directions and company procedures.
